Flora Interiors

Every aspect of the staging and design process matters deeply to Denver home styling firm, Flora Interiors. Passionate about creating truly personal and beautifully unique spaces, Flora Interiors works with clients looking to sell or settle into their homes. From decorating a house that’s listed for sale to interior styling, each space is furnished with one-of-a-kind pieces, thoughtful art, and touched by a palette of colors and textures specifically selected to enhance the natural design of the home. With a strong base of support from the Denver community through word of mouth, Flora Interiors contacted Bigfoot Web to create an online business presence that would promote brand awareness, provide a platform for sharing content with eager audiences, and allow new customers to better understand their services. Crafting a visually stunning new website for the high level designers at Flora Interiors was a challenge that Bigfoot was thrilled to undertake.

No strangers to the importance of a streamlined design process, Flora Interiors worked with the Bigfoot Web team to determine the scope of the project. After completing an in-depth needs assessment, Bigfoot created a strategy to guide the design and development direction of the new website. Flora Interiors knew that using images from their robust portfolio of previous clients would be the strongest way to tell the story of their great work. So Bigfoot designers constructed the design and layout of the site with rich media at the core. Above the fold, professional quality images scroll with bright white text overlaid. More images are used to focus on Flora Interior’s different services and client quotes are overlaid on another compelling image from the company’s portfolio. Bigfoot designers also chose to include Flora Interior’s social channels on the homepage to boost conversation about new staging and styling projects.

Determining the right content management system for Flora Interior’s new website took the project team on a journey. The designers at Flora Interiors favored working with WordPress, so the site development began on that CMS platform. However, after considering the strengths of Squarespace as a CMS, blogging platform, and hosting service, both teams decided to move the project to Squarespace. Once Bigfoot developers migrated the work from WordPress to Squarespace, Flora Interiors greatly appreciated the new look and feel of the site. From the bold, clean visual appeal of the text and images to the user-friendly interface on the backend, Squarespace was the best fit for the fresh design website that Bigfoot created for Flora Interiors. The team at Flora Interiors would be able to easily update and make changes to images, using Squarespace’s photo editor that automatically resizes images after they’re uploaded. Publishing new blog posts is intuitive and straightforward, simply drag and drop blocks of text or images into place and fill with content. Updating the site won’t take the Flora Interiors team long and they’ll be able to base their decisions on rich data from the Squarespace analytics on their website performance and visitation traffic.

Partnering with Flora Interiors on the creation of their new business website was an incredibly rewarding process for the Bigfoot Web designers and developers. Design-minded creatives collaborated to envision a new way to experience Flora Interiors online. Flora Interiors works relentlessly to craft personally relevant, comfortable, and design-forward environments, which will now be able to reach a larger audience through their new website, developed with care by Bigfoot Web.
